They hired my replacement at work yesterday…
My team was able to recruit-back someone who was laid off in the last round to fill my position when I leave at the end of the year. Until then, this person will work with me to learn the ropes.
Since hiring someone back from being laid off is rare, everyone has been talking about why this happened, which means that everyone now knows that I’m leaving. (PERU! SCHOOL!)
I’m excited for the mentoring opportunity. And there is plenty of work to come for the 2009 campaign, so it is going to be great to have some help over the next few months. (Especially because I will need to be putting some kind of time and effort into my MBA applications and Peru planning.)
Oh, latter half of 2008, you came so quickly.
