Defective HP Laptops Posted by on July 30th, 2008 So, I just found out that the laptop that failed on me during my finals (while I was working on my last year) was one that potentially had a defective graphics card, that HP knew about it, and they then potentially lied to me about why it was broken, causing me to part it out and throw it away. I’m totally fuming right now about this — it was a replacement for the first HP laptop I bought that had a case crack (and that was shocking me).
