  To Our Clients, Colleagues and Friends,  We get asked once in awhile for the definition of Tier 1 capital v. Total Risk-Based Capital.  For the full definition, try Part 325 FDIC Rules and Regulations, 12 CFR Sections 325.2(v) and 325.2(y).  Quite a mouthful isn’t it. By the way, have you ever wondered why, when the regulators visit you, they call it a visitation?  Do they think the word visit is too friendly, like hey, why don’t you drop by and visit for awhile?
